I am a PhD student in Statistics in School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh. My research interests include Bayesian analysis and machine learning. My PhD project specifically focuses on Bayesian nonparametric methods for clustering while incorporating external covariates, extending hierarchical Dirichlet process. In the meantime, I am also working on a Bayesian hierarchical model for the analysis of RNA velocity of single cells to facilitate understanding of cell dynamics.
Before my PhD, I completed my Master's degree at Imperial College London, majoring in Statistics (Data Science), where I was awarded Royal Statistical Society Prize for academic performance. The Master's project involves application of machine learning techiniques to investigate regulation of protein localization to nucleus based on heterogeneous single-cell data.
I earned my BSc in Statistics at University of Glasgow. The final project explored Bayesian mixture models for clustering in the presence of noise, part of which was later published in Australian & New Zealand Journal of Statistics (see Publications). I was awarded Royal Statistical Society Prize for best performance.
